Meet the Team

Name: Paul Williams

Age: 43

Experience: Paul's been flying paragliders for around seventeen years and has been instructing since 1991. He started Paraventure in 1993 and is our Chief Flying Instructor. He has personally flown over 150 different paragliders and has seen the sport grow from its roots to what it is today. His flying experience includes airtime in many different countries and is an expert in local conditions. Paul's input was used in the development of the BHPA training syllabus and the content of the FLPA exam paper. Rather than being the boss, Paul prefers to think of himself more of being the highest squirrel in the tree. Paul has one daughter who first flew tandem with him at age 5.

Bio: Ex British Aerospace engineer. Interests include travel, mountain biking, climbing and motorcycling.

Name: Chris White

Age: 45

Experience: is actually one of our ex-students. Now pilot and instructor extraordinaire, Chris helps run all our current courses and when not working for Paraventure, he works on advanced maneuver clinics with world famous advanced instructor Jocky Sanderson. Chris is also involved in development work for disabled pilot training. Chris has vast experience of big mountain flying, competition and acrobatics. To say flying and instructing is Chris's life is a total understatement. Chris's 3 boys give him more than enough to do when they can't get on the tandem with him.

Name: Antonio Castro

Age: 44

Experience: Our man in Spain. Simply one of, if not THE most experienced paragliding instructors in Spain. Antonio started flying 20 years ago and was instructing from day 1 (as there weren't any instructors back then). Owner of Parapente Tropical together with his wife Merrisa and young Pablo. Antonio discovered and opened many of the flying sites that we enjoy today on the Costa Tropical. Specialises in tandem instruction for beginners.
