If you are waiting to test fly one of the new Advance gliders and the UK's weather is causing you problems, we may just have the answer. Together with our friends at Alpine Ascent in Chamonix, we can now offer our customers a chance to demo the new models in the heart of the French Alps for only the price of an EasyJet flight. This is a limited deal for our customers only and will be available from the second week of September through to the last week of October. The conditions at this time of year tend to be smooth and easy which is perfect for testing.
Our demo weekends can be booked pretty much anytime within the dates given; keep an eye on the weather and when it looks good, go. All you need to do is book a last minute cheap flight to Geneva. Once you land in Switzerland, everything else is taken care of. You will be picked up from the airport by one of Alpine Ascents staff and driven to your five star accomodation in Chamonix where you will be able to stay for two nights bed and breakfast absolutely free. We have stayed at the Chalet Les Jumelles ourselves and believe us when we say that this is top of the range accomodation. Have a look at the website and check out the prices to see what a great deal this is. Then for your weekend, you will be driven to some of the best flying sites the French Alps have to offer all within 1 hour of Chamonix. You will be looked after by a good friend of ours, Gavin Foster, who owns Alpine Ascent and is also an excellent pilot as well as a local flying guide and instructor. The entire range of Advance gliders will be at your disposal for the duration of your trip. At the end of your stay you will be driven back to Geneva airport for your return flight.
As you can see above, this is an extraordinary offer for our customers to be able to test fly the Advance gliders they are interested in all for the price of a cheap flight. The only condition that we have is in the extremely unlikely event that you decide not to buy after testing, you will need only pay for the airport transfers to help Alpine Ascent cover their costs. However, we can't honestly see why this would ever be the case. If you want to stay for an extra day or two, it is possible by paying a small additional charge. Your breakfast is covered but take some cash for sandwiches during the day and evening meals. Finally, to be able to take up this offer, you should be a pilot with a minimum of 50 hours airtime under your belt as Alpine Ascent are not offering this service to students or new pilots. You will also need your usual insurance for flying abroad. This is available from Airsports Insurance (part of the BHPA) at a small charge (?35 per night). It is only possible to offer these 'mini trips' for a minimum of two people so take a mate who is also interested in Advance.
As stated above, this offer is for a limited time (until the end of our season). If you would like more details or want to book some time in Chamonix, give us a call on the usual numbers.
