The October trip to Laragne in the southern french alps is now confirmed. We will be leaving on Sat 18th October for seven days and we will be able to fly from Bristol airport which will make things very easy for our local pilots (please do not book your flights until you speak to us and in any event, no earlier than the 1st Aug). We will be charging ?695 for qualified CP's whatever their airtime and ?895 for EP to CP students still under training. This will include bed and breakfast accomodation, airport transfers (all on same flight), all site transport, guiding and tuition. Everything is covered when there except your evening meal. You will also need a flight from Bristol (details later) and holiday insurance.
The trip is intended as an introduction to alpine and big mountain flying. We picked these dates as conditions tend to be perfect at this time time of year with gentle thermals and light winds, easy takeoffs and huge landing fields. This doesn't mean that the place would be boring for the experienced pilot; it would be a nice wind down after the summer and allow for some nice autumn flying which will be long gone in the UK by then. Places are strictly limited so it is vital that you tell us ASAP if you intend to come to get your name on the list. We will need a deposit of ?150 per person by 31st July to confirm your place with the balance by 31st Aug. Even though a lot of pilots have already said they are coming, please take these dates seriously; if we haven't received enough deposits by the deadline we will be forced to cancel so we don't get a repeat of what happened with some of our Spanish trips last year. The payments will be non refundable but if you take out holiday insurance at the same time you will be covered should you need to cancel. It should be great fun. Chris and Paul will see you there.
