Report from first Spanish Autumn trips

We've just returned from the first two trips to our new Spanish holiday / training setup. On the first week we had five experienced CP pilots followed by another five EP pilots working towards finishing their qualifications. One thing we realised right from the start was that taking the early flight from Bristol airport was a mistake. This resulted in everyone on the first day being completely buggered from being awake at least 36 hours. For all future trips we will be taking the last flight the evening before to make sure we get a possible 7 out of 7 flying days. This means our clients will now get 8 nights in Spain at no extra cost. Look at the 'Our courses - Spain' link opposite for details.

Nethertheless, we still flew on most of the days we were there and everyone had a great time with skill levels on return being much, much greater than when we all left for Spain.

There are two short videos on www.youtube.com that you can have a look at. They can be found here.

Below is a short photo diary of our antics. We did one site that was a 4000ft top to bottom in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada but we didn't seem to get any photos of that one. But for the time being, enjoy.

Mikey B coming into land at Alfacar

Ground handling on the beach at Carchuna

Mike and Dave; the Chuckle Brothers.

More ground handing - this time at Almuneca

Self portrait of Paul at Herradura. He had to stay in the air to keep an eye on the clients. Just another day in the office...

Aerial shot flying the amazing Herradura. Urban paragliding at its best.

Stange audio effects at the round building in the Alhamba. This place is only 30mins from our base at Alfacar so we went and had a look one day after flying.

More of the Alhambra..

Starting to get dark now. The build quality of this place is amazing.

Old Granada from the top of the Alhamba

Happy punters

Chris from Swansea flying from one of our amazing private sites at Almuneca. First in the air again. This guy is on a mission but none of us know what it is...

Another day at Herradura; flying in formation with Karl.

Pascal at Herradura. Her flying did a quantum leap this trip.

Huw flying in from another private site at Alfacar. Don't underestimate the value of these private sites; no standing in the queue with our pilots..

Rob B's first flight from Almuneca

Chris flying at Carchuna, yet another private site. First in the air again... what a surprise. Not. The glider on the beach was a paramotorist from Granada. This will be one of the places we will be flying from during our paramotor trip this coming Jan 2008.

Rob K flies from Almuneca

Rob B getting ready to commit aviation

Ground handling at our private beginner slopes

Tina's first flight from Almuneca showing the guys how to do it

Karl styling it on the beach at Herradura

Rob K locked and loaded. Rob had done no CP training before this trip. What a difference by the end.

Apre flying. It's Beer O'clock

What a way to end the day. Dump the gliders and run for the sea.

Sunset taken at almost 1000ft over the sea at Herradura
